Open
in 1987 under the name of Great Wall Taiji School, the Michigan Tai Chi
Center was selected in 1995 by Grand Master Yang Zhen Duo, 4th generation
of Yang Family, as one of the three founding branches of the Yang Cheng
Fu Tai Chi Chuan Center USA.
The Michigan Tai Chi Center provides teaching in hand forms, weapons, and
push hands for all ages through classes, seminars and workshops.
The Michigan Tai Chi offers training for Traditional Yang Style Tai Chi
Chuan teachers, competitors and judges. |

Honors Grand Master Yang Zhen Duo and Master Yang Jun with a State Plaque,
the Mayor of Troy presented the Masters with the Key to the City of Troy. |

| The leader was Master Yang Jun. The coaches were Mr. Horacio Lopez (Texas group) and Mrs.Han Hoon Wang (Michigan group)
The participants from Taxes Center students and Michigan center students plus, Bill Walsh, New York and Dave Barrett , Oregon , became a team representing the USA among 40 nations at the "Third Yongnian International Tai Chi Chuan Gathering", at Handan, Hebei province China, September 1995.
The USA team were awarded "First Place" in the group competition for their performances of "empty hand" and "saber form". |
